History
In May 1956, Masayoshi Murakami (father of Tsuneo Murakami, the current president) opened Murakami TV Service Station in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, to assemble and repair televisions.
Subsequently, the business became a sales representative for Matsushita Communication Industrial Co., Ltd. (now Panasonic Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. [unlisted], a subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation [TSE Prime: 6752]), selling taxi radio, service radio, and automotive equipment. It became a corporation in May 1964 under the name of Nankai Musen Co., Ltd. and was renamed Nankai Tsushin Tokki Co., Ltd. in October 1974.
The company moved into system development in April 1982 and launched a network-based POS information processing service for retailers in October 1988.
In January 2000, the company completed an absorption-type merger with Nankai OA System Co., Ltd., Kansai Chubu Retail Network Systems Co., Ltd., and MDB Center Co., Ltd., with Nankai Tsushin Tokki as the surviving company, and changed its name to Cyberlinks Co., Ltd.
In September 2001, the company opened its Internet Data Center and launched ERP service for local governments.
In February 2005, the company launched @rms ERP, a cloud retail ERP service.
In March 2014, the company listed its shares on Tokyo Stock Exchange JASDAQ division. The shares were listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange Second Section in March 2015 and the First Section in October 2015.
In October 2019, the company made Minamiosaka Computing Center a subsidiary; in July 2022, the company made SYNERGY, Inc. a subsidiary. It also conducted simple mergers of KO-PLAN Co., Ltd. and Mobile Media Link Co., Ltd. in December 2022.
